Team & Contact Information

I grew up on a small farm near Moundridge, KS. I graduated from Baker University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and started into the agribusiness world directly out of college. After working for Farmland Industries and a local ag coop, I started with PrairieLand Partners over 10 years ago and enjoy working with the ag producing customer. I was a store manager in McPherson for 6 years and transitioned to leading the Precision Ag department in 2012. I have always had a passion for bringing together new technology and farming to figure out better and more efficient ways to farm. My wife and I have 4 kids and so our lives are on the go, attending many school and church activities. I love sports, hunting, fishing and roasting my own coffee.

I grew up in Moundridge and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in agronomy. I joined PrairieLand in 2008. Before PrairieLand, I worked as an agronomist for 11 years and now enjoy applying that knowledge and experience to helping our customers on a daily basis. I have a real passion for training and helping customers who call the RSC for remote technical support. In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our boxer, Chuck.

I can remember being on a JD 95 Round Back combine with my dad when I was about six years old. He let me steer it in the field for the first time. I have been hooked on green equipment ever since. Who would guess then that I would be working with technology and automation of machines the way I am now. It has been an interesting path how agriculture has changed. I enjoy the equipment but mostly I have gotten the most from working with customers that have become friends over the last 25 years. Seeing them learn and grow with their GreenStar equipment has been very satisfying. When I am not working with customers, I like to restore antique JD tractors. I have done many over the years and each one brings back memories of working with my dad, uncles and brother on the farm. I also like doing all kinds of remodeling projects at home. It drives my wife Terrie crazy but I would rather build it than buy it. She has put up with a lot from me over the years and knows most of my customers by name. I could not do it without her.

Grew up on a farm near Andale, KS. Attended Andale High School and then received a BS Degree in Crop Science from Fort Hays State University. Spent 22 years as Crop Consultant before spending a few years in the ethanol industry, then returning to consulting with a main focus on Precision Agriculture. Precision Ag has become my passion as I feel it is the best way for me to help others become as efficient as possible on their farms. When I am not at work, I am busy with my own farm, as well as spending time watching my kids participate in activities and spending time with grandkids.

Kansas State University alumni with a BA in Ag Technology Management, and an Agronomy minor. Grew up helping on a wheat and cattle family farm in Sumner county. My passion is driven towards helping growers learn how to utilize Precision Ag data to create or build on efficiencies, to ultimately make their operation more profitable and sustainable. The question I like asking growers most is, “How can I help you utilize the hardware you’ve already purchased to create or further enhance efficiencies within your operation?” Really diving into the data collected, finding correlations within the soil analysis, yield, and planting populations is really what I enjoy most. Anytime I can help a grower come to a true management decision provided by analytics from their own data, it motivates me to continue pushing growers to start building their database and to continue to push the threshold of what is possible.

I grew up in a farming family and began working for a John Deere dealership in 1999. I have been with PrairieLand Partners since 2005. My experience in a dealership includes parts salesman, ag sales, CSR, and AMS/Integrated Solutions. I enjoy working in the field with producers, getting into “their world” to learn about their operations, and then trying to help them in any way that I can. When you work with a customer all the way through their growing seasons, it’s awesome to be a small part of their team and see the results of all of their hard work. I also like getting to know producers as more than just customers. I feel it is important to get to know them and their families on a more personal level outside of work. Often at our high school sporting events, I find myself on the visitor’s side at halftime chatting with producers I work with. Even during “friendly rivalries” it’s fun to watch the kids compete. When I am not supporting customers through the RSC or sifting through their data, I like to spend time with my family. My wife Sara and I have 4 kids so we stay very busy following and supporting them in their many activities.

I’ve been with the company for over 12 years now. I started in the shop, moved into in ag Sales and am now in a dedicated IS position, I’ve been working with Precision Ag the entire time. The thing I enjoy most in Precision Ag is getting to know the customers and moving them and their operation to the next level – whether that’s getting someone started with autotrac for the first time, analyzing field data, creating variable rate prescriptions, and optimizing equipment. I’ve got a goal of meeting as many of our RSC customer in person as possible, so if you see me at training or a meeting please come up and introduce yourself. When I’m not at work I’m chasing around (usually literally) one or all of my three sons. They’re just getting involved in sports and we all try to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

I’ve worked for a John Deere dealership since my Junior year of high school (1994) in Northern Colorado. I’ve been at the Hutchinson location for 17 years now. I started here as a tractor technician and I now serve as our Integrated Solutions technical specialist as well. I was drawn to precision technology as soon as the first parallel tracking system was ordered. It has been so exciting to see how thing progress and open opportunities. The most exciting part for me is the “What if we could….?”, and finding a way to make it work for our customers growth. The most common example would be making variable rate machinery out of machines that were not set-up from the factory for it. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. Most of the time that includes hauling kids to ball games which seems like 365 days a year! Otherwise I like seeing new places off the beaten path.

With your permission your dealer can remotely access your machine’s diagnostics systems via the JDLink infrastructure so they can make sure it’s running at peak performance. It’s like having your own personal infield technician who travels with your machine everywhere it goes.

It saves you time on repairs as your dealer doesn’t have to make a visit to carry out a diagnosis and then a follow up visit with the appropriate parts. Instead they can remotely identify any issues, diagnose the problem and bring out the right parts – all in a single visit.

JDLink extends remote support capabilities to all machines equipped with a GreenStar 3 2630 Display.

By utilizing the JDLink infrastructure John Deere Remote Display Access enables farm managers and dealers to remotely assist operators with machine setup, setting adjustments and operation – like being virtually in the cab. This means: faster service, maximized machine uptime.

Whatever field tasks you are undertaking, the success of your operations is dependent on your operators knowing how to run the machines at peak performance. What happens if they need instant advice, e.g. how to adjust combine settings to current field conditions or how to setup automatic guidance on a tractor? Usually, you or a product specialist from PrairieLand Parnters would drive out to the field to assist the operator. However, this does not only take a lot of time, but also limits machine uptime significantly.

With John Deere Remote Display Access time-consuming support is a thing of the past! Utilizing the JDLink infrastructure, you or PrairieLand Partners can establish a live connection to the GreenStar 2630 display in the cab.

That means you’re able to advise your operators immediately of adjustments that will improve their efficiency – and your profitability. Using John Deere Remote Display Access will optimize the operation of your tractors, combines, forage harvesters and sprayers as well as maximize machine uptime.

Your operators will be working confident in the knowledge that their machine settings are optimized to maximize their performance and that they make full use of available precision farming applications to further increase overall productivity. And that’s good news for you, too.
